Cameron Diaz stars as Sara Fitzgerald, a headstrong mother who is so desperate to save her leukemia-stricken daughter Kate (Sofia Vassilieva) that she genetically-engineers a second daughter Anna (Abigail Breslin) to be a perfect match for her to help with their inevitable donorship needs. But when the youngest girl contacts a lawyer (Alec Baldwin) to sue for medical rights to her own body, it creates a rift not only between Sara and her husband Brian (Jason Patric), but the legal battle threatens to break up the family.

If you don’t want to deal with explosions and vaguely racist robots, maybe a good tear-jerker will be the movie for you.
