Tuned In: What’s Hot In The World Of TV

My how time flies. We’re at the second to the last episode of this season’s, ‘Real World,‘ aka looney tunes in Cancun. It seems like just yesterday that Joey was kicked off the show, Pat, Jonna and Aiiya were having a threesome, and Bronne got evicted from the suite. Every girl in the house has made out with another girl, and we had another troubled roommate expose a dark secret from their past (Aiiya’s cutting came out once again). Say what you want, this aging parent of the reality genre is still good television.

The Perfect Schedule (Wednesday September 2)

8pm: ‘So You Think You Can Dance‘ (Fox) Before next week’s highly anticipated season six premiere, check out the Top 15 performances ever on the series, from seasons 1-5.
9pm: ‘America’s Got Talent‘ (NBC) Three words for you: The Hof performs! American audiences can finally see what Germany is so obsessed with as judge David Hasselhof sings “Feeling Good.” Oh yeah, we also find out which four acts from last night’s show move on.
10pm: ‘Top Chef‘ (Bravo) Tonight the chefs are tasked with cooking a super-sized meal for the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. After a bit of a slow start to the season, this delectable TV favorite is cooking with full gas again.

Tomorrow Night:

Two words for tomorrow night: ‘Big Brother‘ (at 8pm ET for the live eviction and crowning of the new Head of Household). My prediction: Sadly, Jeff and Jordan will be split up tomorrow night - with Jeff most likely packing his bags unless he can work a miracle on the rest of the house. Then we’re down to the final four. Interesting note: Tuesday’s ‘Big Brother’ episode was seen by over 8 million viewers, the biggest audience for the series yet this summer.

Fancast Flashback:

The rebooted ‘Melrose Place‘ premieres next Tuesday night on The CW, but if you want to check out the series that launched it all, Fancast is the place to be. From the bitchy Amanda Woodward (Heather Locklear, of course) and the crazy Kimberly Mancini blowing up the complex (Marcia Cross, pre-’Desperate Housewives‘), the action and the fighting never stopped.
