Andy Dehnart will be covering Big Brother on a weekly basis and checking in regarding all the latest drama in the house.

The summer guilty pleasure and waste of time known as ‘Big Brother 11‘ has only aired two episodes, but already there’s plenty to talk about. Before the show began, I revealed that the cast would be divided into Survivor-like tribes and compete as groups, winning immunity and suffering consequences together. We soon learned that those groups were based on high school cliques, as the houseguests would be in trios identifying themselves as athletes, popular kids, brains, or the offbeats.

After the 12 houseguests were revealed, we had our first naked pictures of a houseguest, since it turns out that model/actor Braden Bacha appeared naked in a gay supernatural soap opera. A mystery 13th houseguest showed up - and it wasn’t pregnant host Julie Chen’s baby, either; instead, it was a previous cast member. Rumors that season nine houseguest Sheila would return turned out to be wrong, and instead season 10 houseguest Jessie, the insanely large bodybuilder, joined the group during the first episode, after his clique won the first HOH challenge. Former houseguests Cowboy, Brian, and Jessica’s cliques lost, so they didn’t get a second chance.

Sunday, after the first-ever have and have not challenge, the brains were banished to a steel bedroom and a diet of slop, but while they may be uncomfortable, they’re strategically safe, or so they think. For his first act as HOH, Jessie nominated Lydia and Chima, who is allegedly a pawn because his athlete clique is aligning with her brains clique. Whether those nominations stand depend upon Tuesday’s power of veto challenge.
