While promoting her upcoming Hallmark Channel movie Accidental Friendship, two-time Emmy-winner Chandra Wilson defended her Grey’s Anatomy castmate Katherine Heigl’s recent decision not to make another bid at the Emmy race, saying “All actors have to do the exact same thing every year, ‘how do I submit, do I submit,’ the public at large doesn’t understand it’s about the show, not about you, especially when you’re dealing with drama categories, you can have a great seasonal arc but if you don’t have a show that’s your show that you feel strongly about your performance in, then you may not submit. We all have to do that every time Emmy season comes, we put our money up.” Wilson then went on to comment on the media frenzy surrounding Heigl’s announcement, saying “its amazing how it got blown out of proportion, some years you submit, some years you don’t, we all have to do it, talk to any actor, its all about what thing do you have to present that year.”
