Sean Hannity, Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow are three radically different news figures with one thing in common - they all score better ratings than venerable news channel CNN.

The latest cable news ratings are out and all is not well at CNN as the network came in dead last for prime-time programming, according to the New York Times.

CNN averaged 202,000 viewers in the key demographic this month compared to Fox News’ 689,000 and sister station HLN’s 221,000. Larry King was the only CNN show to break from last place coming in third during its time slot.

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly continued to top the list of programs at 8 p.m. with 881,000 viewers besting CNN’s Campbell Brown who had 162,000.

CNN is chalking up its poor performance to the overall news environment saying, aside from Fox News, it has the most viewers throughout the day.
