With only a week to go until the magic number of 20 years on the street, most cops would want to take it easy, maybe even look for a desk job. Not the Cops on FOX. On March 21 the signature reality series hits the bricks for its 750th episode.

From rookie days to veteran status, one of the longest running series in TV history (only The Simpsons, another FOX show, has been walking the beat longer) has been piling up the collars in the pursuit of Bad Boys, and to its credit, a fair number of Bad Girls as well. With the simplest of concepts - camera crew ride alongs - the show has proved a ratings and syndication powerhouse and arguably created the atmosphere in which reality TV has thrived in this last decade.

So stock up on the donuts, refill that coffee thermos and hit the siren as Cops rolls out for another year of keeping TV land safe.

Retirement? What retirement? These cops are not ready to put their papers in just yet. Besides, we all know how that always turns out on scripted TV… how many cops have been blown away on their last shift?
