The day of daytime television without the famed Oprah might soon be drawing near, or so The Wrap suspects following news of a longtime producer leaving the syndicated talk show.

Lisa Erspamer, co-executive producer of ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show,’ will depart the long-running program in January to become chief creative officer of OWN: the Oprah Winfrey Network.

When news broke that Erspamer was departing, Winfrey said, “I value her passion and sensibilities and trust her instincts and judgment.”

The Wrap suggests
that with Oprah having such trust for her producer this current move could mean the end of an era, especially with Oprah’s contract with CBS expiring next season, although this remains speculation.
