Daily Spotlight: Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson’s new album of Tom Waits covers might have gotten lost in translation, with critical condemnation coming down from all corners (Rolling Stone gave it a 2.5 and said her “voice is unremarkable and her pitch sometimes unsteady; she’s a faintly goth Marilyn Manson lost in a sonic fog.”), but life isn’t so bad for the 23-year-old actress. She’s got plenty of match points up her sleeve, what with the recent engagement to boyfriend Ryan Reynolds (and the blinding bling to prove it), a new spot on Maxim’s Hot List, and a starring role in Woody Allen’s upcoming flick Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
