After 15 groundbreaking seasons of television, “ER” is airing its last episode, a two-hour series finale that will close County General’s doors for good, Thursday night at 9pm ET on NBC.

In honor of the occasion, we’ve compiled some of the top moments from all 332 episodes. Some were shocking, some were heartbreaking, and some just made us smile and reminded us why we love this show so much.

Moment No. 5:
Abby and Luka exchange vows (”I Don’t” - Season 13, Episode 21)

Abby gets the surprise of her life when Kovac turns what was supposed to be a mundane departmental meeting into a secret, surprise wedding.

Moment No. 4:
Helicopter severs Dr. Romano’s arm (”Chaos Theory” - Season 9, Episode 1)

Dr. Romano gets a little too close to the helicopter when evacuating patients on the roof and pays for it by losing his arm. Of course, we all know that lightning struck twice and he was done in by the same blades for good later on.

Moment No. 3:
Dr. Ross rescues boy (”Hell And High Water” - Season 2, Episode 7)

George Clooney emerged as a true TV star in this landmark episode where Dr. Ross saves a young boy that is trapped in a flooded storm drain. 48 million people watched this breathtaking episode, (a series high) and Clooney started his rapid ascent up the TV and movie food chain.

Moment No. 2:
Dr. Greene tries to save a pregnant patient (”Love’s Labor Lost” - Season 1, Episode 19)

One of the most heart-wrenching moments on the series occurred in season one when Dr. Greene (Anthony Edwards) tried desperately to save the life of a pregnant woman who’s close to giving birth with tragic results.

Moment No. 1:
Carol and Dr. Ross in the medicine cabinet (”Pilot” - Season 1, Episode 1)

Sure, this might not be the flashiest moment from the series, but the sparks and chemistry between these two is obvious from the very first episode. Hathaway and Ross, one of the most lasting TV couples of all time, and they’re still together. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
