Last night the final two chefs were one dinner away from being crowned the winner of this season’s Hell’s Kitchen. You can watch the exciting finale by clicking here. “I thought it was an enjoyable season,” says Kitchen’s gruff-voiced sous chef Scott Leibfried, who recently opened an online shop and cooking school at www.scottleibfried.com. “It got better as it went along. But some of the competitors felt more entitled than their skill deserved. Jen, for instance. She didn’t respect the team concept. I really didn’t like her personality She was the type who didn’t hear what we said. She was always right. And that’s going to be trouble after the whole world has seen it.” As for who emerged victorious - Christina or Petrozza - Leibfried says, “I think the right person definitely won.” And who’s that? Well…we aren’t going to spoil it here. You have to go to the jump.

Culinary student Christina Machamer was named the winner by Chef Gordon Ramsay. Her prize: A job as executive chef in Ramsay’s newest restaurant, London West Hollywood, and a $250,000 paycheck. “Christina had the least amount of experience coming into ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ but I saw something in her that was quite special,” said Chef Ramsay. “She had the best potential across any of the chefs. . . . And in my business, I think long-term. I definitely, definitely made the right choice.” Adds Leibfried, “She’s young, talented, energetic, and determined. But she still has a lot to learn. The hard work is just getting started.”

Leibefried said he and Chef Ramsay are exploring the possibility of opening a casual dining spot in Los Angeles. He also says there’s another season of Hell’s Kitchen already finished and a rumor that Fox will sign up for two more. Watch the entire season of Hell’s Kitchen on Fancast.
