Playboy founder and octogenarian Hugh Hefner is wasting no time pining for his old girlfriends, Kendra, Bridget and Holly by installing 3 brand new Girls Next Door, this time opting for a 2-for-1 discount by hiring on a set of identical twins.

Sisters Karissa and Kristina Shannon have joined Crystal Harris at The Mansion, taking turns keeping Hef warm at night as the dust settles over The Three That Got Away. What skill sets do they bring to the table? According to Crystal, the twins like to “shake their butts and be more outgoing” while she agrees she’s more “the backbone” of the operation.

So how does a girl earn the right to share Hef’s daily routine? In Crystal’s case an invite to the Halloween party was enough for her. “He asked me, and I didn’t hesitate, I jost got all my stuff and moved right in.” The twins took the more traditional route by posing for Playboy’s 55th Anniversary issue and being hit on by the perennially pajama-clad, ageless frat boy. As Hugh tells it, “I heard they were interested in being girlfriends, so I dropped them a note. 2 weeks later they showed up.” Happens to me all the time.

Any chance these 3 could be the one? Not bloody likely. As the bleach-blonde trio look on, nodding somberly, Hef explains, “I’ve been married twice, and those were not the happiest times. I’m a romantic and I don’t want to screw up another relationship by getting married.”

So it’s up to this latest batch of GNDs to change his mind I guess. You know the old saying, “three times lucky.” And this time, Hef’s playing it smart by doubling down.
