Valerie Bertinelli is heading back to sitcoms, reports Victor Balta from Comcast.net’s As Seen On TV blog. After making her TV splash playing the daughter of a working single mom on “One Day at a Time,” he writes that Bertinelli will see that world from the other perspective, now playing the single, working mom with two daughters on a new sitcom. TBS has ordered a pilot for the as-yet-untitled project, which has no premiere date and no real guarantee that it will be picked up. Read more details here and click here for a series of photos.

What’s interesting is the response from dot.net users. “I would love to see Valerie back on TV!!” writes one user. “Happy for her, glad to see she is recovering from her divorce and putting it all behind her. She’s a great actress. Positive energy again,” says another. But not everyone is thrilled. “She’s irritating enough in the Jenny Craig commercials,” comments a more critical user. “30 seconds of Valerie Bertinelli is hardly bearable these days. I shudder to imagine what 30 minutes would be like. And God forbid she returns to those moronic TV-movies…because that would mean HOURS of her.” What do you think about Valerie returning to TV?
