Judge Wapner Returns to ‘The People’s Court’

Judge Joseph A. Wapner returns to the bench this Friday for a special episode of ‘The People’s Court,’ reports The New York Post.

The original, no-nonsense ‘People’s Court’ judge will rule over a case for the momentous occasion in honor of his 90th birthday this Sunday and to celebrate his new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“He was great. It was vintage Joe,” says current ‘People’s Court’ Judge Marilyn Milian. “It was just like seeing him all those years ago. He just came right in, sat right down…you can’t fake that. There’s no script on our show. He’s really on the ball–we should all be so blessed.”

The retired Los Angeles Superior Court judge presided over the TV court for 12 years, until the show went off the air in 1993. The syndicated series was resurrected in 1997.
