Usmagazine.com is reporting that Katie Holmes is hard at work today taping a dance performance on ‘So You Think You Can Dance.’

“They are making it seem like a huge Broadway production,” a source tells the website. “It’s a massive set.” She was reportedly also rehearsing at CBS studios yesterday, where the show is taped, and “has been working on this for a long time. They want it to seem like she waltzed in and put it together very quickly, but that’s really not the case. This has been a longtime in the making.”

The show is rumored to be airing July 8th for SYTYCD’s 100th episode. Show judge Nigel Lithgoe has neither confirmed nor denied the rumor, saying, “As far as I’m concerned, Katie Holmes can come on the show and do anything she’d like to do…It is just a rumor for now.”

In the past, Holmes has also performed a dance number on the series ‘Eli Stone’. She made her debut on Broadway in the play “All My Sons” in September 2008.
