Kristin Chenoweth Joins “Sit Down, Shut Up”

Just because Pushing Daisies is, well… pushing daisies doesn’t mean it’s all doom and gloom for the cast members who make it such a great show. Entertainment Weekly reports that Kristin Chenoweth is wasting no time and branching out into a new phase of her diverse career by scoring a regular cast voice acting gig on the animated series “Sit Down, Shut Up.” Looks like she’s rolling with the cancellation by spreading herself thin over a host of other projects.
Let’s see, the diminutive blond beauty has already conquered Broadway (Wicked), TV? (she was popular on The West Wing long before Daisies), Movies? (she’s tearing up Four Christmases right now and will be playing Dusty Springfield soon) The Internets? (she goes really blue on Funny or Die) Non-Fiction? (she’s penning her memoirs as we speak) and… Opera? That’s right, the coloratura songbird has appeared at The Met and is gearing up for a new show.
So what’s left? Oh yeah! What about the charts? Covered. Chenoweth just released a warmly received holiday album “A Lovely Way To Spend Christmas.” I can’t think of a better evening.
Kristin will make a good fit for the new job as the voice of science teacher Miracle Grohe on the series about a group of teachers sadly lacking in motivation when it comes to the kids. No Child Left Behind is not a philosophy this bunch ascribes to. But can’t you just hear that bubbly, squeaky cute voice coming out of the speakers? Go ahead, close your eyes…. hey that’s it! When’s Kristin Chenoweth gonna be on the radio?
It’s the only medium left.
