Even David Letterman isn’t above the law…’Law & Order‘ that is.

The long-running crime drama is taking aim at the late night host and his scandalous sex-and-extortion bombshell in an upcoming episode, reveals a leaked casting notice.

But in a clever twist, the show is spoofing two birds with one stone. The fictional host will be female, and will also resemble another drama-filled talk show–’The View.’

According to The Wrap: “The episode will revolve around a character named Vanessa Carville. In her late 30s to early 40s, she’s a ‘well-known celebrity talk show host, married with children, who along with a panel of other women, hosts a daily talk show. She’s also either a lesbian or bisexual….who is approached by a blackmailer.”

Letterman’s headline-grabbing scandal may not have been good for his marriage, but his ratings are up, and continuing to rise.

No airdate for the episode has been set.
