NBC Pushing Earlier ‘Chuck’ Return?

NBC gave ‘Chuck‘ a stay of execution last season but fans were told they’d have to wait until March for new episodes of the spy comedy.

However, all signs are now pointing towards an earlier premiere date.

In fact, the Ausiello Files is talking about a late October debut.

There isn’t any word on the time slot ‘Chuck’ will occupy when it does return to NBC but Ausiello speculates that an early return date could also mean more episodes.

NBC initially ordered 13 episodes as it would be a traditional mid-season replacement, but by starting in October there would be space for a lengthier run.

With talk of ‘Chuck’ operating on a reduced budget this season, fans shouldn’t worry about a lackluster program. Insiders are calling the first four episodes “the best yet.”
