THR reports that NBC may pick up a new series developed by ‘Lost’ and ‘Fringe’ mastermind J.J. Abrams.

The spec script, which follows a married couple who work together as spies, was actively pursued by the network in a bidding war along with ABC and Warner Brothers.

J.J. Abrams also developed the spy series ‘Alias,’ with Jennifer Garner. He teams up with Josh Reims for this project, who is best known for developing ‘Felicity.’
