New McCain Ad Says Obama Is Biggest Celebrity In The World, Compares To Britney And Paris

In the latest ad released by the McCain campaign, the Republican Presidential candidate takes a jab at Barack Obama by comparing the Democratic opponent to the two most hounded celebrities on Earth - Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. In the video, the blondes appear for a moment as a narrator says Obama is “the biggest celebrity in the world.”

In a follow up statement, the Obama campaign said “On a day when major news organizations across the country are taking Senator McCain to task for a steady stream of false, negative attacks, his campaign has launched yet another. Or, as some might say, ‘Oops! He did it again.’” Yeow, now that’s hot!

Not to be left out of the fight, McCain campaign manager Rick Davis fired back during a conference call with reporters, saying “What we decided to do is find the top three international celebrities in the world, and I would say from our indications, Britney and Paris came in second and third. It is not our campaign that is trying to make him into an international celebrity, it’s his campaign… I don’t know Paris Hilton and Britney Spears but they are international celebrities, so, you know, apples to apples.”
