Oprah’s “Shoulder Man” Identified

Just who was that nice bespecled man at Obama’s election night speech that Oprah Winfrey was leaning (and presumably, wiping all her snotty tears) on? Turns out his name is Sam Perry, and he’s a Silicon Valley consultant who everyone says is also a very nice man for lending Oprah his shoulder to lean on.

Oprah was even touched at his gesture of hope, saying “Friends called me around the country and said, ‘Who was with you?’ I said, ‘I don’t know him, but he was very nice to me.’ At one point, I was just sobbing on his shoulder, mascara everywhere.”
