“Pushing Daisies: The Movie” A Go According To Kristin Chenoweth

If you’re still looking for a Pushing Daisies fix, unofficial PD spokeslady Kristin Chenoweth tells TV Guide that a movie is in the works. Never mind that three episodes remain on the shelf, yet to be aired (and still no announcement on when they will be) a movie will go a long way to wrap up the love it/hate it saga of the ABC fantasy-sleuth murder mystery series.

Is it all just another tease? Bryan Fuller has announced that he plans to have a happy ending for the show by running a final edition of the comic book series currently hosted on ABC.com.

But according to Chenoweth, all the players are ready for a big screen version that would wrap up all the loose ends for good. “I’m sure that Bryan Fuller wouldn’t do it without the six main characters,” she said. “Paul Reubens was a big part of it — we have certain guest stars that are standouts that we’d want back. But he has such a great idea for it… we all want to.”

Fat chance. The show is more popular now, hanging over the cliff, than it ever was. A movie is the cash cow that will save the farm.

In the meantime, Olive Snook is keeping herself very busy. She will be a regular voice acting talent on the new animated series “Sit Down, Shut Up” and has recently signed on to the new David E. Kelley project, Legally Mad.

“My character is Skippy Pylon — I love the name — she’s the smartest lawyer in the firm, but she’s insane. She’s crazy. So it’ll be very different from Olive. It’s also going to be very fun for me to play that kind of part — someone who will just let a judge have it.”

Wow. For a dead end show like Pushing Daisies, there’s still a lot of life to be lived. You go ‘Lil Gumshoe!
