OMG, in this week’s New Yorker, Nancy Franklin takes a stab (ouch!) at reviewing the drama-laden, “axis of vapid” phenomenon that is The Hills.

“The show’s soundtrack is all pop songs, often as many as a dozen per episode, and they tend to be programmatically upbeat or emo, underlining the three overriding and broadly painted feelings of the characters: I’m so glad; I’m so sad; and I’m so confused. These characters are now in their twenties, but they still smell like Teen Spirit.”

Agree? Disagree? Watch a few episodes of The Hills on Fancast to help make a more educated opinion:

1) Love Is Not A Maybe Thing

2) Apology Not Accepted

3) Once A Player…
