Saved By The Bell Reunion Might Happen, Says Mark Paul Gosselaar

Looks like Jimmy Fallon’s “impossible dream” of reuniting the cast of Saved By The Bell might become a reality.

In an interview with Mark Paul Gosselaar, the former SBTB star said he’ll be appearing on the June 8th episode of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and it won’t be for a “typical interview.”

What exactly does that mean? Gosselaar wasn’t particularly forthcoming with specifics, but hinted that as far as he knows, several original cast members are definitely on board for the reunion, including AC Slater (Mario Lopez), Lisa Turtle (Lark Voorhees), Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins), and Mr. Zack Morris, himself!

“I’m not going to say whether or not I’m doing a reunion,” Gosselaar confessed, “but I am going to say I’m gonna have more fun than I would normally have on an interview.”

In honor of the comedy’s 20th anniversary, earlier this year Fallon announced his desire to reunite the original cast on his show, even enlisting the aid of an enthusiastic Dennis Haskins to help drum up support. But that’s not all. In March, Fallon created a Saved By The Bell reunion petition, which currently boasts 28,092 total signatures. One fan was so excited that he crafted an “I Love Bayside” parody of Asher Roth’s “I Love College” video in order to help “reunite the group back together again.”

So are nearly 30,000 votes and a Youtube video enough to bring Bayside High to Late Night? Guess we’ll have to wait until June 8th to find out for sure!
