Susan Sarandon On Daughter’s Naked ‘Californication’ Role

Eva Amurri has no qualms about playing a stripper with a heart of gold on ‘Californication‘ this season, telling the Post that it was “cool to play this smart, young woman adept with her body and her mind.”

And her mom, Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon, shares her excitement.

“I think if she were playing something that was going to be really hard for her psychologically or damaging, I’d be more concerned, but she had a really good time with the sex thing,” says Sarandon about her daughter, who had to strip in front of David Duchovny’s character, teacher Hank Moody.

“She plays a woman who, as far as I can tell, is really in charge of her life and is not a victim,” she adds. “So it sounded to me like it would be a blast. I’ve already seen little bits and pieces of some of the nudity and she looks beautiful. If you have it, why not?”

Eva’s character Jackie, is Moody’s creative writing student by day and a stripper by night. She will guest star in the series for nine episodes.
