‘The Mentalist’ Gets its Anti-Hero

Terry Kinney has been recruited to play Agent Sam Bosco in a recurring role on CBS’ breakout hit ‘The Mentalist.’

According to the Hollywood Reporter Kinney’s character will be the direct antithesis of Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) - while Jane does not appreciate Bosco’s by-the-book approach to solving crimes, the latter is equally frustrated with Jane’s very unorthodox methods.

Kinny may be best known for his roles in TV shows ‘thirtysomething’ and ‘Oz,’ and was last seen as a featured player on ABC’s short-lived comedy-drama ‘The Unusuals.’
