Toby Keith is no stranger to controversy, courtesy of his post-911 musical debacle, ‘Courtesy of the Red White and Blue’ and his public feud with The Dixie Chicks. But now he’s going against the man–the Academy of Country Music. He says that as a result of them nominating him 27 times for a Country Music Award, but only giving him the award three times, he is refusing to attend the award show this week. “I know everybody is going to say it’s sour grapes, but I don’t care – it’s not,” said the singer. “I haven’t been to a CMA Awards show in four years. They screwed me ’till I finally saw the light.” Hmm, that sounds like the beginning of a great country music song. Sing it, Toby.
