Bravo is on a major roll with the ‘Real Housewives’ franchise. Last week’s season two premiere of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ pulled in a franchise best 3.98 million cumulative viewers on Thursday night, making it the network’s most watched Thursday ever. And it returned with a bang! NeNe and Sheree are now friends again, everybody hates Kim, and we meet the newest housewife Kandi. It’s going to be a wild ride this season…

Sunday TV Highlights:

True Blood
Last night’s episode of HBO’s deliciously tasty Sunday vampire treat kicked Season 2 into high gear. We finally found out what exactly the hedonistic, sex-crazed MaryAnne is (a maenad - as explained by her follower/shifter Daphne). Shockingly, it was also the red-haired waitresses’ farewell as a possessed Eggs knifed her on the dock. Much more on Bill and his maker’s history came to light via flashback, and we got just a glimpse of Eric’s true feelings for forbidden fruit Sookie as he jumped to heed her telepathic call. But who came to rescue Sookie in the episode’s closing moments? None other than Godric, seemingly no worse for the wear from being held by the hostage of the Fellowship of the Light. Next week’s preview looks extra juicy as the vampires take on the churchgoers and all hell breaks loose.

Big Brother

The first real endurance challenge of ‘Big Brother 11‘ came down to Russell and Jeff after surprising Michele dropped off due to exhaustion. Russell and Jeff played let’s make a deal, with Russell promising Jeff he wouldn’t put him or Jordan on the block. Jeff caved and Russell won HOH. When nomination time came around, the musclehead stuck to his word, putting Lydia and the rat Ronnie on the block. But will it even matter? The much talked about power of Coup D’etat will be unveiled this week, which could wreak havoc on the nominations this week or next.

Monday Sizzler:

  • Jon & Kate Plus 8: 9pm on TLC We could pretend that there’s other noteworthy TV on tonight, but come on. We all know everyone’s going to be watching this trainwreck to see what the show will be like now that the Gosselins have announced they’re divorcing. We already know they won’t be on the couch together but what else will we see?
