'Family Guy' (Fox)
TV’s Most Expensive Shows
In the age of DVRs and the ability to fast forward through pesky commercials, there are still some programs that manage to command quite an amount when it comes to ad sales.
For the second straight year in a row, NBC’s ‘Sunday Night Football’ continues to be TV’s most expensive show, with a 30-second ad costing a whopping $339,700, on average, according to AdAge.
But football fans aren’t the only ad-happy audiences. Out of the top ten costliest series for ads, nine are still scripted shows. ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ pulls in $240,462 per ad, while ‘Desperate Housewives‘ commands about $228,851. The list includes ‘Two and a Half Men,’ ‘Family Guy,’ ‘The Simpsons,’ ‘CSI,’ ‘Big Bang Theory,’ ‘The Office,’ and of course, ‘American Idol.’
