The Associated Press is reporting that social-networking phenom Twitter has teamed with Reveille productions, the team behind ‘The Office’ and ‘Ugly Betty’ - along with Brillstein Entertainment, ‘The Sopranos,’ and ‘Newsradio’ to create a series based on the 140-character limit messaging service.

The reality show would have contestants try to find celebrities based on their “Tweets” - or short messages.

“Twitter is transforming the way people communicate, especially celebrities and their fans,” Reveille managing director Howard T. Owens, told the Associated Press.

According to Variety, the show’s concept was created by novelist Amy Ephron, who will also executive produce.

Powered by Oprah, Ashton Kucher and more than few A-List celebrities, Twitter, founded in 2007, pulls in roughly 7 million monthly unique visitors according to Nielsen.
