‘Ugly Betty’ Shakes Things Up with ‘Dexter’ Star

Lauren Vélez is going from serial killers to killer shoes. The Dexter co-star is gearing up for a multi-episode stint on Ugly Betty playing a nurse called Elena.

Her character will live with the Suarez family, though that’s the only detail that ABC has leaked about her character at the moment. According to the Hollywood Reporter, her appearance is perhaps “tied to a plot twist that might involve the death of a major character.”

Well, if she’s living with the Suarez family, can we presume that it’ll be one of Betty’s relatives who gets the heave-ho? Her dad seems like an obvious choice, but killing off Hilda would certainly be a curveball.
