2 Bull 2 Durham?

What do you do if you’re a big movie star who can’t seem to buy a hit anymore? Go back to one of the movies that made you a beloved star in the first place and make a sequel to it. In Kevin Costner’s case, that looks to be Bull Durham, the great baseball comedy where he starred as Crash Davis, the guy who believed in long slow deep soft wet kisses that last three days, back when having a character named Crash was cool instead of just trying to be cool. What do you do if they’re making a sequel to a movie that you enjoyed making a lot and wouldn’t mind playing around with again? Sign on for the long-delayed sequel, as it appears Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon are doing as well. The two would be married owners of a baseball team that Crash would be managing in this purported follow-up. It can’t possibly live up to the first one, can it?
