Sorry, I can’t resist that dopey rip on 2 Fast 2 Furious. It will never stop being funny to me. Only to you, sadly.

Anyway, Mad Max 4. It looks to be on, directed by George Miller, who’s also handling the much-ballyhooed Justice League movie currently in the works. Mad Max is finally getting life beyond Thunderdome.

If Mel Gibson is hurting for work, though, he’s not going to find it with this. Mad Max 4: Fury Road is going to recast the role with a younger face. So whatever it is that Gibson’s going to try to get back into the public’s good graces won’t be the Sylvester Stallone route of recycling his old hits. So we shouldn’t worry about seeing 2 Passion 2 Christ.

Turns out, though, that Gibson is involved in a different sort of motorcycle madness, as he’s in development for Under and Alone, an Antoine Fuqua directed film about an undercover ATF agent infiltrating a biker gang. He’s also got a Richard Donner film called Sam and George in the works, about an ex-con reconnecting with his best friend.

With any luck, Gibson will make some strides toward redemption, and I can go back to loving Braveheart free of guilt.
