Aaron Eckhart to “Battle: Los Angeles”

The Dark Knight has changed the career trajectory of Aaron Eckhart, and that’s evidenced by the fact that he’s taking on his first lead role in an action movie instead of the indie movies he’s cut his teeth on. He’ll now be in Battle: Los Angeles, playing the leader of a platoon of Marines fighting off an alien invasion on the streets of L.A. Those damn dirty aliens!

Remember when Eckhart first showed up? As an unmitigated bastard in Neil LaBute’s movie about unmitigated bastards, In The Company of Men.
