Bernie Mac Hospitalized

Bernie Mac, The Mac Man, hilarious father on The Bernie Mac Show, is in the hospital in Chicago with pneumonia. Some reports put him in critical condition, and his publicist, Danica Smith, said she had been fielding rumors over the weekend that Mac had passed away. “Mr. MAC is responding well to treatment and will be released soon,” said Smith. “He asked that his privacy and that of his family is respected while he gets well.”

Bernie is currently working on Old Dogs and Soul Men, due in 2009 and 2008, respectively.
