Borat

Sacha Baron Cohen may have retired the character for being too famous to fool anybody anymore, but Borat has scored another victory for his glorious nation of Kazahkstan. Three lawsuits brought by people featured in Borat: Cultural Learnings of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan have been thrown out, as they all signed release waivers and accepted money to appear in a “documentary-style movie.” The driving instructor and two of the etiquette teachers claimed they were deceived, but to no avail. We’ll see if Cohen elicits the same kinds of legal controversy in his next film, rumored to be titled Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt. That might just get him beaten up, sadly.
