Brett Ratner Hits On A Reporter

Brett Ratner doesn’t get a hell of a lot of respect from folks in the media - some rip on his hackwork sinking the X-Men franchise, some laugh at him for wanting to make a Guitar Hero movie, endless Rush Hour movies, etc. - but you’ve got to wonder if some of it isn’t deserved after you see that he decided to hit on a reporter from the Jewish Journal who was profiling him as if she was the second awestruck starlet on the left. Sure, the details might’ve been a bit overblown when it was published, making Ratner look incredibly obnoxious, but when he says something like “I think she exaggerated a lot of it, maybe because she was trying to get her boyfriend jealous” after the fact, it’s not hard to imagine that he is incredibly obnoxious. Although it would be interesting to hear his treatise on the topic of Flirting vs. Hitting On: “I didn’t hit on her. I was flirting, but it wasn’t as bad as she made it out. I mean, flirting is just flirting.”

For future reference, if you’re going to hit on a reporter, do it after she publishes the piece on you. Seems like common sense, really.
