Britney Spears on South Park: Was it really that bad? Yes. Yes it was.

The boys of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, have never been ones to pull any punches as they poke fun of celebrities on the show. No one is off limits: not Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, or Christopher Reeve. But they seemed to have turned a new leaf when they went after a most vulnerable target: Britney Spears, who was then at the height of a difficult career and personal breakdown. The episode featured the other South Park boys, Cartman, Kyle and Stan, taking Britney under their wing after she has turned a gun on herself and blown off the top half of her head. Audiences were stunned (and we couldn’t believe our eyes!) at this startling scene.
