Christina Applegate Diagnosed With Cancer

Christina Applegate, the 36-year-old star of Samantha Who, who got her start as a racy teen on Married With Children but was able to successfully translate her career into grown-up sophisticated roles, has been diagnosed with cancer. Her rep confirmed on Saturday that she “was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening.” Christina has had a difficult year, with news that her ex, Lee Grivas, had been found dead of a drug overdose earlier this year.

Applegate can be currently seen as mom Kim in the Rainn Wilson vehicle, The Rocker.
