Don Cheadle, Chris Rock Among Guests Paying Respects To Bernie Mac

Bernie Mac’s family, friends and a who’s who of comedians turned up this past Saturday to pay their respects to the deceased actor at a memorial service in a Chicago church. Cedric the Entertainer, D.L. Hughley, Steve Harvey, Don Cheadle, Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson were on the guest list, and Presidential nominee Barack Obama even sent a special message that read, “Michelle and I were so deeply sad to hear about your loss. He [made] us laugh, and laugh hard. Bernie Mac will be sorely missed.” The comedian passed away last week due to complications stemming from pneunomia.
