The publicity campaigns for several television shows were nominated for the ICG Publicist Awards:

Nominations for TV publicity campaigns went to “Aliens in America” (CW, CBS Paramount), “Bob Barker’s Retirement From ‘The Price Is Right’ ” (CBS, Fremantle TV), “CSI” (CBS, CBS Paramount, Jerry Bruckheimer TV), “Dirty Sexy Money” (ABC, ABC Studios), “Gossip Girl” (CW, Warner Bros. TV) and “Pushing Daisies” (CW, Warner Bros. TV).[Hollywood Reporter]

I particularly remember several of these campaigns, namely Dirty Sexy Money placing the image of Nick George in the place of Mr. Defamer, and Gossip Girl’s yummy fashion tie ins through the CW website (the site single-handedly at fault for extensive shopping sprees). I wonder if these marketing tactics had anything to do with the nominations?
