Josh Brolin Gives Middling News On “Terminator 4″

Josh Brolin has confirmed that he almost signed onto Terminator: Salvation, and his comments give us a mixed bag of expectations for the film.

“I talked to Christian [Bale] for a couple hours. I really liked the script though I hear that’s not what they filmed. The one I read was very interesting and dark. Ultimately though I didn’t think it felt right. I saw [Bale] recently and I asked him how it was and he said, ‘it’s alright.’”

So it was a very interesting and dark script, but it’s not the one they shot, and Bale said it was just ‘alright.’ True, Bale doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to gush in superlatives about a project of his, but it does lead us to wondering just how McG’s take on the franchise is going to turn out.
