Kelsey Grammer in Swing Vote

Kelsey Grammer, who plays an incumbent Republican president in the Kevin Costner film Swing Vote, is being sued by a former assistant to President Bush by the name of Bradley Blakeman, who claims the film stole several elements from a screenplay he gave to Grammer back in 2006 entitled Go November. Naturally, Grammer’s reps are calling it frivolous, while Blakeman says not only was Grammer’s role in Swing Vote similar to the role he would have played in his film, but the whole premise of the film was the same - just the number of deciding voters was changed from several to one, and the whole father-daughter story was added.

Considering Grammer’s also appearing in An American Carol by David Zucker, who has essentially announced that he has no intention of being original ever again, there’s a chance for more lawsuits in Frasier’s future.
