Lauren Conrad To Design An Emmy Dress (Or Two!)

Lauren Conrad has been criticized for not being as involved in the designs of her clothing line as she leads her fans to believe, but she’s been given a huge opportunity to put that rumor to rest. Turns out she has been given the chance to design a gown for one of the presenters at this year’s Emmy Awards. “It’s a huge compliment to be asked to do that, and it was really amazing to be taken seriously,” said the actress/designer to People. She also indicated she may be designing more than one dress for the night, specifically for some of the models who present trophies to the winners.

If you’ll recall, competing designer, Christian Siriano once said about the clothing projects belonging to the Hills girls : “None of them will ever be an innovative designer.” Let’s see how her designs stand up on their own on the momentous night.
