Naomi Watts would take Tippi Hedren’s role, and Casino Royale director Martin Campbell is in talks to helm. The good news ends there.

It’s beeing written by the people who gave us Boogeyman. It’s being produced by Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes, the same company that remade The Amityville Horror and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

It’s one thing to remake random horror movies. It’s quite another to remake Alfred Hitchcock movies. You can either suck at it by following the Gus Van Sant route of copying Psycho shot-for-shot, or you can suck at it by turning Rear Window into Disturbia. The only way it’ll actually be good is if your name is Alfred Hitchcock and you’re remaking your own movie, as was done with The Man Who Knew Too Much.
