Oprah Winfrey

It’s been a long time in coming, but Disney is finally making an animated fairy tale that stars a black woman as the lead character in The Princess and The Frog, due out next year, and they’ve managed to get Oprah Winfrey to voice Eudora, the mother of Princess Tiana, a young girl who lives in the French Quarter of New Orleans during the Jazz Age. It turns out Randy Newman has written six songs for this film. Take from that what you will.
