“Punisher’s” Lexi Alexander to Direct Jonah Hex?

Lexi Alexander just finished directing Marvel Comics’ baddest assed gunman Frank Castle in Punisher: War Zone, out this Friday, and the word is she’s also being considered for DC Comics’ baddest-assed gunman Jonah Hex as well. When asked if she liked the script she was sent, this is what she said.

I do. I like it even more that Mr. Josh Brolin is still attached. Who knows if he’ll stay, but it’s more exciting than I thought. You get a story like this you think, “Oh God, I’m going to be doing the same thing over and over again.” but it’s really, really interesting. I would change some things in the script, but you know. It’s not there yet. I’m sure there’s many, many directors up for the same thing.

Jonah Hex is an ex-Confederate soldier, a disagreeable cuss and a wandering bounty hunter who has been depicted of late as looking like Clint Eastwood’s iconic western drifter with a disfigured face. If Alexander can handle the Punisher, it’s a good bet she gets Hex.
