Seth Rogen in “The Gospel According to Jimmy?”

Alexandre Aja, director of Mirrors, spoke briefly about his upcoming projects, and one of them is The Gospel According to Jimmy, a story about Republicans cloning Jesus Christ from a drop of blood on the Shroud of Turin, and if Aja has his way, Seth Rogen would be playing that Jesus clone/swimming pool maintenance man in L.A. One can imagine that he’ll accidentally find out his true nature by falling into a pool and landing flat on top of the water.

This is likely the first Rogen will have heard of this, but it is rife with comic potential. It’ll depend on how sharply political Rogen is willing to get. He’s had no problem verbally lambasting the MPAA and advocating marijuana legalization, and he’s already had some visions of the apocalyptic Year 2000:
