Sex and the City Comes to E!

Would a film like Sex and the City be cheapened by being shown on television? How about if the network is a channel known for Ryan Seacrest (no offense, Ryan), red carpet gossip and Dinah Lohan? Only time will tell, because E! and The Style Network have acquired the cable rights to SATC as well as the upcoming films, He’s Just Not That Into You and The Women. The deal also includes rights to the film’s new media resources.

The contract goes into effect in 2012. So, if all goes well, look for SJP and her lady-friends airing immediately after the fourth season of Denise Richards: It Gets More Complicated After 40!
