The Lost Survivors: Where are they now?
Tonight’s Survivor: Micronesia pits fans against favorite Survivor contestants. It’s not an all star round, although it seems that several of the “favorites” initially thought that it was, and were greatly disappointed to come face to face with (gasp!) kooky fans.
The Favorites tribe was equally shocked. Casting directors had hand-picked them from what Probst describes as a “feeding frenzy” of prior castoffs who wanted a second chance, and they were under the impression they were being cast for an all-star edition.
“We referred to it as The Big Con,” Probst says.
When it came to picking the fans, the strongest, most devoted and kookiest prevailed. Kathleen Sleckman, for example, falls into the latter category.
“She’s crazy to the point of being so wacky that it’s peculiar and entertaining,” says Probst, adding a few of the fans are deceptively strong physically, and will be a tough match for even Survivor: China’s uber-buff James Clement. [Winipeg Sun]
What has become of previous Survivor celebs? Fancast digs deep to find info on some of the most beloved and controversial Survivor castaways.

Richard Hatch, or the “naked fat man”:
Seems Richard is still in the pokie for tax evasion; After Richard “forgot” to declare his Survivor loot, the federal government sent him packing to an island of a different sort: Jail! He is scheduled for release in October of 2009. Maybe just in time for another All-Star round?
Rupert Boneham:
From Survivor: Pearl Island and later Survivor: All Stars, where he was voted America’s Favorite Player. What’s America’s sweetheart doing now? People reports he has started his own record label, “I Saw You on TV“, for unsigned reality show stars. He tells the Salt Lake Tribune that he plans to release the first album in May, which will be a collection of songs by American Idol, Rock Star and The Apprentice (!) stars.

Rob and Amber:
This duo became popular on Survivor and went on to participate in several other reality shows. Amber Mariano was a participant on Survivor: The Australian Outback and Survivor: All Stars, where she accepted fellow contestant Rob Mariano’s marriage proposal. Together they have created a formidable team off the island, writing books and creating a TV empire. In 2004, Maxim named Amber one of the 50 most beautiful women, and Stuff magazine placed her on its cover. The couple went on to participate in The Amazing Race and to carry their own show, Rob and Amber: Against the Odds on the Fox Reality Chanel. They are currently casting for their new reality show, Tontine, which takes place throughout the world. Go Rob and Amber!
Susan Hawk
Susan was one tough cookie, standing up to Richard’s sneaky antics on Survivor: Borneo. She was a fan favorite, and her “rats and snakes” comment was heard round the world. She went on to participate on Survivor: All Stars, where a naked Richard Hatch rubbed up against her. An Access Hollywood report caught up with Susan last year and found her resting comfortably with her husband, and no naked fat men, in Minnesota.
