The New Justice League?

Yes, they’re making a Justice League movie, and no, they’re not going to use Brandon Routh and Christian Bale to play Superman and Batman. Let’s get the central mistake out in the open.
This still has a chance to be an awesome movie, though, and an easy way to get around making origin-story movies for people with insane pasts like Wonder Woman (who was built out of clay on an island of Amazons steeped in Ancient Greek culture) or the Flash (who had strange chemicals fall on him at the exact same time he was struck by lightning through a window). Cinematical has a round-up of the swirling casting rumors to date, and they’re definitely casting young.
Apparently the most solid rumor is that hip-hop star Common has landed the role of Green Lantern John Stewart, which is a pretty good choice.
Megan Gale as Wonder Woman - wow, she certainly looks the part.
Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman makes a certain amount of sense, considering Heroes killed him off. Aquaman was always rather Aryan (as well as an unheralded badass), but considering his reputation as the useless member of the Justice League who can only talk to fish, a certain amount of reinvention may prove necessary. Unless they just mine the actual comics for inspiration - the guy got his hand cut off and replaced it with a freakin’ harpoon. THAT is badass.
Armie Hammer as Batman is pretty well unknown at this point, which could really serve the character well. It may be easier to get unknowns to spend more time in the masks that conceal their faces, because the masks are the cool part. You hear that, Tobey Maguire? Leave the Spidey mask on! That said, Teresa Palmer as Talia Al Ghul, the bewitching super-spy daughter of R’as Al Ghul (as played by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins) who has an on-again, way-off-again thing with Bruce Wayne, could really shake things up.
Superman still seems to be a toss-up between Scott Porter and D.J. Cotrona, while the Flash is either Anton Yelchin, Adam Brody or someone else entirely. They are still rumors at this point, y’know.
